Do Cats Like the Rain? Meow...I sure don't....I would rather be curled up on my couch...It's untrue that all cats don't like water. hmmm I still don't...meow...
If you don't close the bathroom door your cat might get in and take a shower or stretch out in the bathtub! If your cat likes water try putting an inch of water in the bath tub during the hot summer, they'll get in it and prance up and down although not getting totally wet like a dog would. Some don't mind the rain and often will go fishing.
Cats can swim! I con't but I guess other feline friends can??? Meow. We maintain our own fur by grooming a great deal so it's not necessary to bath us.

All cats can swim if they have to, but I am sure that you would rather not. I once knew a black cat who lived in a very hot climate and would occasionally jump into the apartment complex swimming pool to cool off.
We prefer NOT to be wet. We cannot think of an exception to this rule.
I do not like to be wet because then my furs stick to me and make me uncomfortable. This is true for most Domestic breeds of cats but the Turkish Van cat is also known as the Swiming Cat. They like to swim and have specially adapted coats so they are not uncomfortable when they do it.
I cannot stand water, except to drink! I can't even stand the thought of a drop of water on my fur. But my little brother, MaoMao, loves water! He even gets into the sink and plays with it. I simply can't imagine!
